S&P 500 Forecast: Lower to Kick Off Thursday Session

There is probably still a lot of volatility in the market in this area at this point, so I believe that if we break below the 3900 level, we can drop to the 50-day EMA. After that we will look at 3800 levels. The SandP 500 opened lower to test the 3900 level, an area that previously held. After that we will look at 3800 levels. Ultimately, I think it’s a situation where we’re going to see a lot of mixed moves, especially since we just came off an early season that was weak to say the least. Levels above 000 could provide major resistance, but we also have the 200-day EMA above them to provide resistance. If we were to reverse and break below the 3900 level, this could lead to quite a bit of selling pressure. This is especially true if interest rates begin to rise again in America. Volatility Before If we break below 3800, we could go to 3700, maybe even 3600. The 3600 level is an area where we have seen a lot of support before, so it makes sense that we would see color a little lower if we could get breaking out of it. At the end of the day, this is a situation where we’ve seen volatility move more than once, and of course a lot of what we’ve seen has been a reaction to the „hopium” we’ve seen out there, the Fed bailing everyone out again. I don’t think they could do that with inflation as hot as it is now, so right now Wall Street is doing itself a lot of damage. There will continue to be a lot of noisy activity in the market, but I believe that eventually volatility will come in and push this market down. Regardless, you have to be careful with the size of your station.
