Putin noted that Ukrainian wheat cannot influence the world food market

Moscow. 30 June. INTERFAX.RU – The share of Ukrainian food, including wheat, on the world market is too small to influence the global food situation, Russian President Vladimir Putin said.

„Recently, the issue related to the export of Ukrainian grain has been actively discussed. According to the US Department of Agriculture, this is 6 million tons of wheat, according to ours, this is 5 million tons,” he said on Thursday at a meeting with Indonesian President Joko Widodo.

According to Putin, „if we mean the volume of production in the world – 800 million tons, then we understand that this is such a quantity that does not affect world markets in any way, it is about 2.5%, and of all food produced in the world – 0.5%”.
