„Diamond Technopark” to be created in the Arkhangelsk region by 2024

In the Arkhangelsk region, on the basis of the mining and processing plant named after V. Grib (a diamond deposit in the Mezensky district), it was decided to create an industrial „Diamond Technopark” by 2024, Governor of the region Alexander Tsybulsky said on Telegram.

It is expected that the technopark will bring together manufacturers of products from synthetic or natural diamonds.

„This will be a high-tech production for growing diamond single crystals and manufacturing diamond products – quantum sensors, ultra-pure diamonds, diamond tools,” the governor said.

The project investor will be the Boreal Diamonds company (Arkhangelsk), which in 2021 received the status of a resident of the Russian Arctic zone and signed an agreement with the Corporation for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic.
