Citigroup and Citibank refused to be agents for Belarusian Eurobonds

Moscow. July 9th INTERFAX.RU – Citigroup and Citibank have refused to act as agents for Belarusian Eurobonds, the Ministry of Finance of the Republic reported.

„The Ministry of Finance informs that Citigroup Global Markets Europe AG and Citibank, NA, London Branch on July 7 this year notified of the termination of their activities as a registrar, financial, payment and transfer agent in respect of Eurobonds of the Republic of Belarus. This decision enters take effect within 60 days.

„Currently, the Ministry of Finance is working to find successors to these organizations to carry out operations with Eurobonds of the Republic of Belarus,” the ministry added.
